Holidaypac is a cardboard display and packaging factory established in 2010. PDQ trays and PDQ boxes are among the displays we make every day for brands and retail suppliers.
|
We design, sample, print and produce PDQ trays, stackable PDQ displays and PDQ display boxes. Every tray is sized to your product and case pack, and we can pack your product into the trays at our factory before shipping.
|
We have produced PDQ trays for products sold at Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club and Woolworths. Samples normally take 3–5 days after requirements are confirmed. Minimum quantity and bulk production timing are quoted for each project.

We start from your product size, weight and case pack, the store’s shelf or pallet footprint and the promotion. A 3D mock-up shows how the PDQ tray will look in store.
|
After you approve the 3D design we make the die line. For PDQ trays the key is stacking strength, so trays stay square when stacked on a pallet.
|
Your artwork is placed on the approved die line. The front panel carries the brand, product name and price message so the tray sells on its own.
|
A white or printed sample normally takes 3–5 days after requirements are confirmed, so you can test fit, loading and stacking with your own product.

【4】What Is a PDQ Display? PDQ Tray, PDQ Box or Stackable PDQ
A PDQ display is a cardboard tray or box for quick retail placement on a shelf, pallet or counter. It can be supplied flat or pre-packed, depending on the project. PDQ stands for “pretty darn quick”: staff open the case, place the tray and the product is on sale.
1) PDQ tray — an open, low-front tray with a printed front panel for shelves and pallets. Example: retail display tray.
2) Stackable PDQ trays — trays that lock and stack into a block on a pallet, used in club stores. Example: stackable PDQ display.
3) PDQ display box — a closed shipper with a lid or header that opens into a counter display. Example: PDQ display boxes.
4) Divided PDQ tray — a tray with inner dividers for several SKUs or colors. Example: PDQ tray with divider.
Match the tray to how your product sits: free-standing bottles and tubes, stacked folded or boxed items, gravity-feed cans that roll forward, or loose items piled in like a dump bin. Each needs a different front height, divider layout and board strength.

Printing:
We print in CMYK, Pantone spot colors and UV on sheets up to 1600 × 1200 mm, with gloss or matte lamination, spot UV or varnish.
|
Cutting and Creasing:
Printed sheets are mounted on CCNB + corrugated B flute board, then die-cut and creased so every tray folds square.
|
Folding and Gluing:
Trays are folded and glued along the crease lines. Stackable trays are checked for level stacking before packing.
|
Packing:
Trays ship flat in master cartons, or filled with your product at our factory so they arrive ready to sell.

【6】PDQ Displays for Walmart, Costco and Sam’s Club Programs
Club stores and supermarkets sell by the case, so the display has to arrive full, stack straight and survive a busy aisle. We have produced PDQ trays for products sold at Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club and Woolworths — from candy and snack trays and stackable snack PDQ boxes to organic plant food and sports bras.
Tips to choose the right PDQ display
1) Ship the tray inside the case. The PDQ tray is packed with product and shipped inside an outer corrugated shipper; in store it is lifted out and placed on the shelf ready to sell.
2) Size the tray to the shelf. Mass retailers publish their own PDQ rules. A common rule is a tray about ½ inch narrower than the shelf and no deeper than the retailer’s maximum depth (for example 14 inches), so it slides in without touching the shelf side brackets. We follow the spec of your retailer.
3) Size the tray to your case pack, so the store can place a full case without repacking.
4) Keep the front low enough to show the product and tall enough for your brand and price message; for heavy products, ask for stacking tests on the sample before bulk production.

【7】How We Develop Your PDQ Tray Sample
1) Design the structure — we work from your product, case pack and store footprint to define the tray shape.
2) Cut the sample — a white sample is cut on our sample cutting table, so you can check fit and stacking fast.
3) Print the sample — a printed sample with your artwork is normally ready in 3–5 days after requirements are confirmed.
4) Customer care — our team answers assembly and loading questions before and after production.

【8】What Are the Benefits of PDQ Displays?
1) Fast to set up — the tray arrives packed, so staff place it on the shelf or pallet in seconds.
2) Less store labor — no unpacking of single items and no separate display to build.
3) Strong shelf presence — a printed front panel turns a plain case into a branded display.
4) Low cost and recyclable — corrugated board is light to ship, easy to refresh for each promotion and recyclable. FSC®-certified board is available.
