Our German client ships products directly to supermarkets and retail chains. They presented four key requirements:

• Multiple products of different sizes needed to be displayed harmoniously on a single stand, including one variant designed as a 4-pack bundle.

• Load-bearing capacity: Due to the heavy weight of the products, each shelf layer had to support up to 25 kg.
• Logistics efficiency and labor savings: The entire display stand had to be forklift-compatible to minimize manual handling.

• An additional critical requirement added after reviewing the initial prototype: the stand must be extremely easy to assemble to reduce on-site labor costs and minimize potential damage during complex assembly.

Our Solution: Innovative Structural Design for the Perfect Balance

Step 1: Creative Concept and Space Optimization

How do you elegantly arrange three different product sizes — plus a 4-pack bundle — on one display stand with fixed internal shelf dimensions? Our designers performed precise calculations and multiple rounds of 3D modeling to optimize the layout. The final prototype received enthusiastic approval from the client.

First Version: Traditional High-Strength Approach

Initially, to meet the 25 kg per shelf requirement, we used the industry-standard double-folded shelf panel structure. While this guaranteed strength, it required workers to fold and secure each panel on-site — a time-consuming process that conflicted with the client’s new demand for easy assembly.

Optimized Innovation: Pre-Glued Integrated Shelves + Quick-Lock System

Instead of sticking with tradition, we completely redesigned the structure to conquer both strength and ease of assembly simultaneously:

• Pre-glued integrated shelves: All shelf panels are fully glued to the back panel during production in our factory. Upon delivery, no on-site folding or attachment is needed — saving massive amounts of time and labor.
• Plastic snap-lock system: We replaced complicated interlocking tabs with simple, robust plastic buckles. Assembly is now as easy as aligning and clicking into place — secure, fast, and foolproof.

• Hidden strength: Double support bars: Beneath each pre-glued shelf, we added two solid support bars that act like structural “ribs.” They ensure the shelf remains perfectly flat and stable even under 25 kg of weight.

Step 2: Structural Engineering for Forklift Compatibility

Forklift-ready transport was one of the biggest challenges — and ultimately one of the biggest successes. The paper display isn’t just a shelf; it’s a fully integrated, ultra-stable transport unit. We reinforced the base and incorporated standard forklift entry pockets, allowing fully loaded displays to be moved, stacked, and transported directly by forklift in warehouses and store backrooms — eliminating repacking and reducing labor dramatically.

The final design — combining pre-glued shelves, plastic snap locks, double support bars, and forklift compatibility — exceeded every client expectation. It delivers exceptional load capacity, near-instant “plug-and-play” assembly, and seamless logistics handling.
